Support Cancer Sufferers with Macmillan's Big Coffee Morning

Added 24/09/2013

The World’s Biggest Coffee morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event of the year and it’s happening this Friday (27th September). Last year’s event involved 115,000 people and raised a staggering £15 Million.

Macmillan provides much needed support for people suffering from cancer and their families so that no one has to face cancer alone, they offer medical, emotional, practical and financial support to help people face the fight and come out the other side.

Macmillan are aiming to get thousands of people, across the UK and beyond, to run their own coffee mornings for friends and colleagues this Friday. To provide extra encouragement they’ve even managed to get a selection of celebrity recipes on their website to inspire you to bake for the event, including Joanna Lumley’s Pecan and Muscavado Cookies, Jamie Oliver’s Welsh Cakes and Stephen Fry’s Honey Buns.

One in three of us are likely to get cancer at some point in our life time and it is clear that the work Macmillan does makes a positive difference to a lot of people.

If you don’t have time to organise your own coffee morning, don’t worry you can still take part, there might be a public event nearby which you can attend: Visit the Macmillan website to check.
