In recent years, Turkey has grown in popularity as a holiday destination that offers sun, sand, sea and relaxation. Bodrum is a popular spot for tourists who like great nightlife and a wide choice of restaurants and bars.

Not far from Bodrum, a 5-star resort has recently opened on its own peninsula that juts out into the Mediterranean Sea. Xanadu Island is a 5-star resort that is aimed at holidaymakers looking for the ultimate relaxing retreat. Bodrum and Turgetris are easily reached by public transport from the peninsula, so those after a lively night out or two needn’t go without.

Transfers to Xanadu Island take just over an hour from Bodrum airport. The resort has a buffet restaurant and an onsite Italian restaurant that needs to be booked in advance in order to ensure a table. An amphitheatre showcases nightly entertainment, there are bars dotted around the island and a waiter service at the two onsite swimming pools.

Rooms at the 5-star resort are very spacious and offer either courtyard views or sea views if you’ve got a bit more to spend. Sea view balconies have great views of amazing sunsets across the ocean. The en-suite bathrooms are large with great facilities, or for a different type of bath, go to the Turkish bath in the onsite spa.

Xanadu Island is perfect for those that are after a relaxing stay in a hot 5-star resort. With everything you’d need packed onto a tiny peninsula, Xanadu Island is like a luxury cruise ship on land.

If you are thinking of booking a holiday to Xanadu Island, remember to buy travel insurance for your trip. Travel insurance can cover the cost of lost luggage, travel delay or medical treatment that you might need to receive abroad. Goodtogoinsurnace.com has a range of policies available to suit different budgets, and we specialise in providing travel insurance for people with pre existing medical conditions.
