Heathrow Airport terminals to offer best of British

Between 26 August and 12 September, Heathrow Airport terminals will be offering the best of British food and drink to its passengers. British travellers jetting off abroad will have one last chance to sample comforting home food before leaving for foreign soil. Meanwhile, overseas visitors can have the chance to try local food as soon as they set foot in Britain.

Treats will be on offer at 20 eateries throughout the Heathrow Airport terminals. In Terminal 5, Gordon Ramsay Plane Food will be dishing up a delightful three course meal that really showcases the best of British produce. The main dish is sea bream with wild garlic and spring onion mash and tomato dressing.

In Terminal 4, you could enjoy comfort food at the Dining Street Restaurant - Jam Roly-Poly, Kentish Crumble and Eton Mess will all be on offer. There will also be traditional afternoon tea available in terminals 1, 3, 4 and 5, complete with hand-cut sandwiches, fresh scones and comforting leaf tea. Passengers can also enjoy crumpets, pork pies and hearty fish and chips.

Many passengers that travel in and out of Heathrow Airport terminals like to enjoy a tipple from time to time. During the best of British fortnight, the Harlequin will be serving pints of Theakston’s Old Peculier, Young’s Waggle Dance and Bishop’s Finger.

Heathrow’s shops will also be embracing the best of British event by holding special offers on whiskies and potted stilton.

Passengers that hold a WorldPoints loyalty card will not only get to sample the best of British, but they will also be able to take advantage of double points in all of Heathrow’s restaurants, bars and cafes.
