FCO Travel Aware

It’s important to check the latest travel advice from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) every time you travel.

They provide a wealth of continually updated information to help British nationals be prepared and stay safe when they travel to countries across the world.

Their advice ranges from whether or not you should travel there at all, to the latest information regarding strikes or demonstrations which could disrupt your holiday, to local rules and customs which you should be aware of.

For instance, they have recently updated their travel advice for those going to Spain to highlight the risk of severe thunderstorms in certain areas and the potential for political demonstrations to cause disruption in Barcelona.

Whilst travellers to France are offered advice about the continuing protests linked to the yellow vest (gilets jaunes) movement demonstrations across France.

There is also good news for those wanting to enjoy some winter sun in Egypt with restrictions for flying into Sharm el Sheikh being lifted.
