Making a Travel Insurance Claim for Baggage Delay
In the unfortunate event that your baggage is delayed for at least 12 hours, whilst in the custody of your carrier on your outward journey, you can claim for the cost of buying replacement necessities.
Important information when claiming for delayed baggage
- You must obtain a written report from the carrier or tour representative confirming the delay
- Receipts will need to be provided for the replacement items purchased
- Please note that any amount paid in respect of delayed baggage would be deducted from your total baggage claim should it prove to be permanently lost
